2014年从美国纽约州立大学布法罗分校毕业,获传播学博士学位。先后任职于德州理工大学、拉玛大学。2018年回国,现就职于华南理工大学新闻与传播学院,教授、博士生导师。此外,我还担任广东省公众健康风险监测与信息传播中心(省级智库)副主任、中国新闻史学会健康传播专委会常务理事、中国老龄传播学会常委、SSCI期刊Asian Journal of Communication编委会成员等职务。
作为一名健康传播学者,我的研究关注健康信息设计与传播效果。这一两年来,我的研究开始转向智能健康传播。我认为智能健康传播与传统健康传播最大的不同在于,原本作为信息传播渠道的媒介在人工智能时代兼具工具与行动者的双重属性。因此,作为行动者的健康智能体将如何影响健康传播效果?人机关系的缔结将如何影响健康传播效果?这些都是我最近一两年研究的关注焦点。
在生活上,我努力做一个有趣的人。我喜欢一切与文化、艺术、历史相关的东西,因此博物馆、美术馆是我常去的地方。我尤其热衷于音乐剧。我最爱的音乐剧是《悲惨世界》,其次是《伊丽莎白》。同时我也坚持健身。这些兴趣爱好让我在繁忙的工作之余仍能保持活力,保持对生活的兴趣和热情。我也期待同样热爱生活、热爱科研的你加入我的研究团队!

科研理念
我不是坐在书斋里的学者,因为我认为研究的意义在于回馈社会。从整个社会体系运转的逻辑来看,高校并不直接创造价值,反而是接受社会的滋养。所以我才关注健康问题,因为健康关系到所有人的幸福,也是一个国家发展到一定程度的必然要求。我的研究注意到健康领域中社会支持效果的不平等,因为健康是每个人的权利不论贫富;我的研究注意到媒介环境对中国儿童不健康饮食的负面影响,因为个人的健康从来不只是个人的责任,更需要社会环境的支持。我希望我的研究不只是产出论文,更能够帮助到更多人,以微薄的一己之力推动社会的进步,以此回馈社会的滋养。
培养理念
从2019年开始,我已经指导了14名硕士生和2名博士生,其中已有9人毕业。我希望我的学生能成长为具有独立思考能力和研究能力的人,因为无论是否在学术界,思考和研究都是决定一个人职业发展高度的最重要的能力。因此,我的工作是引导他们发现自己的兴趣所长,教会他们如何发现问题、如何思考问题、如何搜集材料解决问题。我更希望学生在科研中发现自己的兴趣点,而非复刻我的研究志趣,因为虽然在我的团队中我是一个领导者,但我的职责并非培养追随者,而是培养未来的领导者。希望我的学生毕业后都能在他们各自的领域内成为领导者。
